This Candidate Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Cynergy collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you apply for a position with us and the rights you have in connection with that personal information. It is important that you read all of this Notice carefully. The term “Candidate” is used in this Notice to refer to anyone who applies for a position or who otherwise seeks to work with or for us, whether on a permanent or non-permanent basis. Information provided by you
The personal information you provide to us in connection with your application for employment will be used to determine your suitability for a position within Cynergy and, if applicable, your terms of employment or engagement. Your details may also be included in management information which Cynergy uses to monitor its recruitment initiatives and equal employment opportunity policies. Sensitive personal data will not be disclosed without your explicit consent, except where permitted by law. Your details may be held manually or electronically (such as on Cynergy’s databases available to authorized users).
Information provided to/by third parties
Cynergy may disclose your details to verify and/or obtain additional information about you from third parties including education institutions, past employers and background check vendors.
How long we keep your information
Your personal information will be stored in accordance with applicable laws and kept if needed to carry out the purposes described in this Notice, or as otherwise required by applicable law. Generally, this means your personal information will be kept for the duration of the application process. If your application is unsuccessful, your details may be retained by Cynergy for a reasonable period of time after confirmation that your application was unsuccessful to allow us to consider you for other suitable openings with Cynergy in the future.
